Hanovia Limited provided technical assistance to the Kano State Malaria Control Booster Project (MCBP) on Monitoring and Evaluation for the project. We also provided technical assistance to the Gombe State Malaria Control Booster Project as Project Implementation Facilitator for Logistics and Supply Management; and as monitoring and evaluation consultants for the project. Our terms of reference placed emphasis on the Project Development Objectives (PDOs) and results/impact monitoring activities and reporting.
Primary Health Facility, Patent Medicine Vendors (PMV), Community/Kindred, and Community Laboratories Listing Survey in Jigawa & Kano State
Hanovia was engaged by the Jigawa State and Kano State MCBP Projects to coordinate the health facility, PMVs, community/kindred and community laboratories listing exercises in the 27 LGAs of Jigawa and 44 LGAs of Kano State respectively. The overall purpose of the surveys was to generate comprehensive lists of health facilities and patient medicine vendors situated in the states along with their GPS coordinates and the approximate size of kindred’s living in all communities across the States.
Development of an M&E Results Framework
Under monitoring and evaluation consultancy in both Gombe and Kano MCBP, we provided technical support for the development of an M&E result framework for the effective monitoring of the MCBP programme implementation and performance assessment against project objectives.
Assessment of Commodities Distribution System (CDS) for the Gombe MCBP
As the PIFs for the Logistics and Supply Management under the Gombe MCBP, we reviewed the existing CDS in Gombe State and assessed it’s compliance with the main objective of the National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP) logistics system of ensuring effective distribution of the Malaria Plus Package (MPP). The objective was to ensure and secure a dependable supply of malaria commodities for diagnosing and treating malaria infection to achieve reduced morbidity and mortality. The main aim was to ensure that every client receives and can use malaria commodities when needed.
