Adekola Durojaye

Kola is a seasoned public health and programme management specialist. He has played a contributory role in developing and assessing programmes and interventions relating to public health in Nigeria. He is involved with drafting of capacity building and assessment tools, project monitoring, data collection to measure coverage of interventions and impact evaluation (IE) as well as programme M&E. He coordinated the conduct of GAVI-funded and WHO supported nationwide measles coverage survey, World Bank-funded polio coverage survey in 8 endemic states, IE studies in Anambra & Gombe states on community systems strengthening. He was the M&E project implementation facilitator (PIF) for the World Bank-assisted Malaria Control Booster Project under the National Malaria Control Programme. Kola was responsible for rendering technical assistance to examining the association between management practices and performance of PHCs under performance based financing (PBF) using scorecard.

Kola is vastly experienced in sourcing for and managing consultants. He was the assistant national technical assistant manager for the UK Department for International Development (DFID)-funded Enhancing Nigeria’s Response to HIV/AIDS Programme. He was part of a team of consultants that developed the organizational capacity assessment tool (OCAT) for assessing capacity of HIV/AIDS organizations including national, states and Local agency for the control of AIDS (NACA, SACAs & LACAs) and CSOs/FBOs for effective coordination of HIV&AIDS response.

Kola is a graduate of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and holds certificates in Project and Programme Management, M&E of malaria programs, M&E fundamentals data demand and use as well as logistics and supply chain management.
